An "inspirational" group of girls from are representing London at the national finals of the Young Enterprise competition.
The group of ten sixth-formers from St Helen’s School in Northwood formed Team Orenda won the award for Best Company in the East of England regional final.
They were then competing in the national final at the British Film Institute, off Tottenham Court Road in London, yesterday (Thursday) as the Watford Observer went to press.
Girls from the school set up the team to promote their Sip’O’Snack bottles, which feature a snack container attached to a drinks bottle.
At the semi-finals, the group also swept up the Environmental Award, and the Best Report and Best Presentation Awards.
Mary Short, headteacher of St Helen’s, said: "The girls in Team Orenda are inspiring the whole school community with their continued success and have shown the drive, commitment, enthusiasm and business instincts which will enable them to become the leaders of tomorrow.
"We are all very proud of them."
