A Tube passenger was left with arm injuries after an unprovoked assault on a station platform.

A man was standing on platform one at Harrow and Wealdstone Underground station at around 11pm on Saturday, April 18, when someone crossed over to the platform and assaulted him.

He was left with injuries to his arm.

The British Transport Police have released a CCTV still of a man, who they believe may have information that can help the enquiry into the assault at the Bakerloo line station.

Detective Constable Graeme said: “All members of the public have the right to travel on the tube network without fear of violence, and the victim of this attack is no different.

“We will do everything in our power to identify the person responsible and prosecute them accordingly.

“We believe the man in the image we are issuing today can help with our investigation. Do you know who he is? If you do, we want to hear from you.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016.
