Pupils showed solidarity with schoolchildren across the globe as they hosted a fundraising event for the Nepal earthquake appeal.
Children at Newton Farm School, in Ravenswood Crescent, Rayners Lane, joined the UNICEF appeal for the Nepalese Disaster Fund with a ‘Bring-A-Pound Day for Nepal’ fundraiser.
The pupils placed £1 coins on a map showing the Himalayan nation and reflected on the lives of schoolchildren who have lost their families in the recent earthquakes.
All money raised at the school will go towards food, clean drinking water and medicines for the people of Nepal.
