Young swimmers pushed themselves to their limits while raising £100 for charity.

Harrow Leisure Centre, in Christchurch Avenue, hosted a gala for the Harrow, Hatch End, Northolt, Acton and Vale Farm’s swimming schools, providing some friendly competition for the seven to 15-year-old swimmers.

The Harrow team won the cup, while Northolt and Vale Farm came second, with Acton and Hatch End in joint third place.

Winners will now be selected to compete in a regional gala, to be held at Watford Woodside on July 4.

Lyanne Harry, swim manager of Ealing, Harrow and Brent, said: “The day was a huge success. Not only did all the children have a great time and push themselves to do their best, but we also raised £100 for the Anthony Nolan Charity.”
