Harrow Leisure Centre is celebrating its 40th birthday with an open day offering 40 free activities.

The centre, which opened on the May 3, 1975, will throw open its doors for a day of free fun family activities and fitness events from the 1970’s.

Activities will include gym challenges, group exercise classes, sports taster sessions and a 70’s themed roller disco, with a prize for the best dressed.

There will also be a raffle with 40 prizes up for grabs, with an optional suggested donation of £2.

All donations from the raffle will go to the Anthony Nolan Trust, a charity formed to help those who are in need of a stem cell transplant.

The open day, which will run from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, May 3, is free to all and activities do not require booking.
