Final preparations have begun for a village's annual St George’s Day wheelbarrow race.

Pinner will be packed with people on Sunday, gathering to watch the race.

The traditional wheelbarrow race, now in its 52nd year, will see the teams of two competitors race through the streets, making pit stops at all the pubs along Bridge Street and High Street.

Members of each team are required to down a pint of beer each.

Celebrations will start from 11am on Sunday, April 19, with the wheelbarrow race taking part at 3.30pm in Little Common.
