A cannabis dealer has been jailed for more than two years.

Gerald Byrne, of The Broadway, Wealdstone, was jailed for two years and two months at Harrow Crown Court yesterday for possessing the class A drug methadone and possessing cannabis with intent to supply .

A confiscation of £4,300 was also made after the 35-year-old pleaded guilty on February 28 at a preliminary hearing.

On Friday, February 27, officers raided an address in The Broadway, Wealdstone.

Officers were let into the property by workmen and Byrne was located in the bedroom.

During the search, officers discovered a quantity of cannabis, a bottle of methadone, drug paraphernalia and around £4,300 in cash.

Byrne was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and B drugs and proceeds of crime act offences.
