A hospice charity has appointed its new chief executive.

Michael Sobell Hospice, in Rickmansworth Road, Northwood, has appointed Lindsey Fealey as its new chief executive officer.

Replacing the former CEO Helen Elliott, she has joined the charity from Florence Nightingale Hospice in Aylesbury, where she worked for more than seven years and was head of fundraising before being promoted to director of income generation in 2013.

Mrs Fealey was co-founder and chief executive of Canceractive and also worked for eighteen years in sales, marketing, exhibitions and event management.

She said: “Having experienced family and friends who have benefited from hospice care, I appreciate just what a difference can be made to both patients and families at this difficult time.

“I am committed to ensuring that Michael Sobell Hospice continues to be the wonderful place that it is, with specialist palliative care for patients with life-limiting illnesses."
