Plans to improve the Metropolitan line have been announced in a bid to modernise 40 per cent of London Underground services.
The next major phase of the London Underground’s modernisation will see a new modern train control system introduced on the Metropolitan line, affecting stations such as North Harrow, West Harrow, Harrow-on-the-Hill and Pinner.
London Underground says the work will mean faster, more frequent and more reliable journeys for millions of passengers, and comes after an announcement of a reduction in delays on the Underground by 30 per cent.
