A Harrow-born artist has been selected to exhibit her work at a botanical art show.
Rayners Lane artist Claire McDermott has been offered a place at the 2015 New Royal Horticultural Society London Botanical Art Show, to be held in Lindley Hall, Westminster, after submitting paintings of spent flowers.
The artist will be exhibiting six watercolour paintings of a Michaelmas daisy, which document the different stages a spent flower takes before it sets seed.
Now in its sixth year, the show will exhibit artwork from some of the world’s finest botanical artists on February 27 and 28.
