In Harrow Labour group’s 2014 manifesto, it promised to: “Appoint a member from the voluntary sector, as a non-executive member of the cabinet and other major council committees, to make sure the voluntary sector is at the heart of all decision-making in the council.”
This position has remained noticeably unfilled.
Perhaps Councillor David Perry, leader of the Labour group, could tell us when he intend to follow-through on this promise?
Should the Labour group honour its pledge? Send us your views.
Indeed, perhaps he could update us on one of his other promises: “Commit to all Labour Harrow councillors being required to carry out at least one hour a week of volunteering with a Harrow charity or community group, making sure they understand the needs of the sector.”
Since this group won control of the council based on its manifesto, almost a year ago, it would be the right thing to do for Cllr Perry to update us all on where he is with these.
