Harrow Borough Council says it will investigate whether action is needed to tackle speeding in a residential street.
The comments come after people living in Somervell Road, in South Harrow, raised concerns about the safety of their road.
Neighbours have called for Harrow Council to take action and introduce traffic calming measures to stop drivers using their road as a rat run.
A Harrow Cuncil spokesman said: “We are aware that some residents in Somervell Road have been concerned about excessive speeding.
“We have investigated the area thoroughly and this will be discussed at the Traffic and Road Safety Advisory Panel on December 10
“Following this meeting the council will decide if it any action is required.”
The meeting will take place this evening at the Harrow Council Civic Centre, in Station Road, from 7.30pm.
