The full report of an investigation into the financial dealings of a junior school cannot be released for legal reasons.

The Harrow Times reported yesterday that an investigation into Whitchurch Junior School, in Wemborough Road, Stanmore found “significant weaknesses" in financial administration but no fraudulent or criminal activity.

Last week Harrow Borough Council said last week it would release the full report of the investigation.

This paper submitted a Freedom of Information request to the council for the full report.

In response the council said it would not release the information as publication could lead to the identification of individuals involved at the school.

As a result of the findings, the council made 27 recommendations to put governance procedures in place, which are being implemented by the governing body.
