Shoppers will be treated to a festive feast of entertainment during the run-up to Christmas.

People are invited to the Broadwalk Centre, in Station Road, Edgware, for a variety of acts, workshops, performances, challenges and competitions.

On Saturday, November 29 a professional artist will create three six-foot tall paintings in just one hour, at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

On Saturday, December 6, Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer will go missing, so Santa is paying a special visit to launch a competition for younger shoppers to help him find his best buddy in time for Christmas.

Santa will pay another visit to the Broadwalk on Saturday, December 13 to host a special press conference with little shoppers from 2pm to 4pm.

Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists, Gay and Alan, will also be entertaining shoppers with their singing skills by performing a host of Christmas classics.

Two of Santa’s elves will bring their ‘Goodometer’ to the centre to determine who has been naughty or nice.

The centre will also host its very own Letters to Santa campaign, giving children of all ages the chance to write their very own letter and Christmas wish list to Santa and pop it in the special post box provided by Costa Coffee, and they will receive a personalised response.

Angela Brooks, centre manager at Broadwalk, said: “We have a jam-packed programme for Christmas this year and I hope all our shoppers and local residents enjoy what’s on offer. This time of year is incredibly magical, especially for children, so we are really looking forward to see lots of families getting into the festive spirit together.”
