Children and parents enjoyed a story and craft day to celebrate the 25th anniversary of a much loved children’s book.
Kenton Library, in Kenton Lane, held the event to celebrate 25 years of Elmer the Elephant and helped decorate a giant cutout of the patchwork story book character.
The celebration was one of a range of events taking place at libraries across the borough during half term.
Mum Prabha Solanki, who attended the event with her three children, said: “I thought it was a really good and my children had a great time.
“They really enjoyed the stories and it was nice for them to do something creative.”
Work has also begun at the library on the new flower bed and community garden which is still looking for volunteers to help.
