Thousands of worshippers brought an end to days of annual celebrations at a Hindu temple.

Members of Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Dharma Bhakti Manor, in Stanmore, held three days of celebrations for Diwali and the Hindu New Year.

The first event at the Wood Lane temple was Kali Chaudas on Wednesday, October 22, at which worshippers offered special prayers and offerings to the deity Hanumanji Maharaj.

The following evening was the Hindu festival of lights Diwali, which included a fireworks display and live music at the temple grounds, which was enjoyed by hundreds from the temple community.

The final night of celebrations was the Hindu New Year on Friday, when more than a thousand people wrote short notes on a message tree giving thanks.
