More than 600 people took part in a Diwali arts and craft event at a shopping centre.
The two-day event took place over the weekend at St Ann's shopping centre, in Harrow, to help kick start celebrations in the run up to the Hindu festival of lights.
Hundreds of children took part in a range of activities including making their own lanterns, light catchers and taking part in the Rangoli art project.
Manager of the centre Pieter Strombeck said: “The weekend of Diwali activities proved popular in the centre, we had a lot of families take interest in the lanterns and big art project.
“We still have the artwork displayed within the centre in the lead up to Diwali on Thursday.”
The annual festival is celebrated in the autumn and winter months by Hindus around the world, marking the victory of good over evil.
