Two children have been given music scholarships by the Mayor of London because of their talent.
Trumpeter Theo Mamakhan, nine, who attends Moss Hall Junior School, in West Finchley, and ten-year-old clarinetist Patrick Cuiirea, of Edgware Junior School, were among 70 to be picked for this year’s Mayor’s Music Fund.
The scholarships, worth £280,000, will allow them to have an extensive programme of music tuition and support which they would otherwise not be able to afford.
