People are being asked for their views on plans to expand two primary schools to provide more places.

Harrow Borough Council has launched the consultations for the proposed expansion of Weald Infant and Junior Schools and Grimsdyke School, in Pinner.

The two schools are part of the third round of school expansions by Harrow Council, with the first two rounds already well under way.

Under the proposals for Weald, the infant and junior schools would combine to form one primary school and then expand to have four Reception classes.

People have until October 17 to have their say about the plans for Weald schools and can do so by clicking here.

The council hopes the work will be completed by 2016, with the reception classes offering up to 120 places.

Plans for Grimsdyke School involve expansion to three Reception classes, offering 90 places in September 2015.

The deadline for responses to the Grimsdyke School consultation is October 15, and people can take part by clicking here.

The third round of expansions was judged necessary following a revised estimate of the pupil population during the coming years.

Harrow Council says the programme is needed to cope with the growing demand in the borough and to fulfil its statutory duties to provide sufficient school places.
