People are being given the chance to test their nerve by walking over hot coals for charity.

Supporters of St Luke’s Hospice will take part in its annual Fire and Glass Walk to raise money.

Those taking part will walk across a 30ft bed of 1,200⁰F hot coals or a 30ft bed of broken glass, at The Case is Altered Pub in Pinner, on November 4.

Chandni Sejpal Shah, who will be taking part in the challenge, said: “I have decided to take on this challenge to raise much needed funds for St Luke’s Hospice so they can continue the great work they do.

My beloved granddad Chhotalalbhai Sejpal lost his life to cancer on the 2 July 2014.

“I am so grateful to St Luke’s for all the help and support provided to my granddad in the final days of his life.

“The staff at the hospice cared for my granddad in a kind, comforting, respectful and dignified way, they made a difference to the quality of his life.

“My family and I are very grateful for all the support given to us, it made such a difference to be able to spend quality time with my granddad in his final days.”
