An artist will reveal his painting of a suffragette during a history walk to celebrate her life.

Alistair Lambert, who is part of the Cricklewood Open Studios, will guide people through Clitterhouse Farm, Cricklewood, where Gladice Keevil lived.

Also an artist, she lived at the farm with her family from 1884 to 1913 and was involved in the fight for women’s suffrage.

In 1908 she was famously arrested with suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst, for protesting outside the House of Commons.

On her release she went on to become a national organiser for the suffragettes in the Midlands.

Mr Lambert is part of the Clitterhouse Farm Project, formed in 2013, which aims to restore the historic Victorian buildings into a multi-use community hub.

The free event will be held outside Cricklewood Rail Station at 3pm on Sunday, September 14.
