A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a baby in Barnet.
Police were called by medical staff at a north London hospital on Friday, August 29 after a ten-month-old boy was admitted.
The boy was transferred to a central London hospital later that day but died on Monday.
Officers say they know the identity of the baby and his next of kin have been informed.
A post-mortem held on Thursday, September 4 at Great Ormond Street Hospital did not give a formal cause a death and further tests are required.
On the morning of the incident the boy was taken to the hospital by the London Ambulance Service. Enquiries are underway to establish how he died.
On Friday, September 5 a 31-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder. She has since been bailed pending further enquires to a date in mid October.
