Community spirited volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help clean the streets of litter.

Staff from McDonald's in Friern Barnet and High Barnet went to South Friern to pick up rubbish.

They were joined by Chipping Barnet MP Theresa Villiers and Atul Pathak, who owns the McDonald's franchise in High Barnet and Friern Barnet.

They helped tidy up Pert Close, Alexandra Road, Sydney Road, and parts of Colney Hatch Lane, along with the ward's Conservative councillors Caroline Stock and Graham Old.

Together the group collected over 120 bags of rubbish helping to keep the streets of South Friern clean and tidy.
