A supermarket is on the hunt for an animal charity to donate left-over food to at the end of each day.
Sainsbury’s, in Darkes Lane, Potters Bar, often has extra bread, cake and fresh food left over at the end of each day that it is legally unable to sell as it has reached its display-by date.
However the food is still within the use-by date and staff at the store are keen to give it to animal charities or a farm to avoid it going to landfill.
Any charities interested should contact the store.
