People are being asked for their views on the introduction of a 20mph speed limit near a school.
Harrow Borough Council is currently consulting neighbours of Marlborough School on proposals for a new limit on roads surrounding the site in Marlborough Hill.
The council has secured money from Transport for London to introduce the 20mph zone around the school, which officers say will improve pedestrian and cycle safety in the area.
The zone would include the introduction of new signs, road markings and speed cushions as a traffic calming measure.
Consultation papers also propose the introduction of double yellow lines in certain areas to “prevent obstructive parking and ensure there is adequate road space for emergency and refuse vehicles”.
Those interested in having their say on the proposals have until August 15 to take part in the consultation and can do so by clicking here.
