Rainbows and Brownies learnt about the workings of local government with a tour of the borough’s civic centre.
Members of 1st Belmont Rainbows and 4th/7th Brownies were welcomed by the Mayor of Harrow last week to find out more about his job at Harrow Borough Council.
They got the chance to quiz the Mayor and Mace Bearer about their jobs and learnt about the history of Harrow.
Mayor Councillor Ajay Maru said: “It was fantastic meeting the Belmont Rainbows and Brownies, who were keen on learning about my role and responsibilities.
“I also found it interesting to learn about what they do to explore other cultures, developing confidence, and taking part in various activities and how they are making a positive difference in the community.”
