More than 25 new homes and a new shop will be built on the site of a derelict pub.

The former Sam Maguire Public House, in High Street, Wealdstone, will be demolished after plans were unanimously approved by members of Harrow Borough Council's planning committee this evening.

The pub has been vacant for more than four years and derelict land behind the three-storey building has been a hotspot for anti-social behaviour for some time.

It will be torn down to make way for a four and five-storey building with 27 flats, with 17 car park spaces and retail space in the ground floor.
