Pupils battled it out with their signature dishes for a secondary school’s second annual Master Chef competition.
Over the past six weeks, Year 7 and 8 pupils from Canons High School in Edgware have been cooking as part of a contest organised by teacher Darren Silver.
The winner, chosen by chef David McGeown from Friends restaurant in Pinner, was 12-year-old Sharvia.
The Year 8 pupil battled it out against the three other finalists - Anushka, 13, Ridwan, 12, and Binisha, 12.
For the competition, pupils at the Shaldon Road school were given the task of cooking a signature dish they would eat at home.
Science teacher Mr Silver, who first started the competition last year, says he hopes it will helps pupil’s knowledge of food and understanding of a healthy lifestyle.
