A feasibility study into step-free access at Harrow-on-the Hill station is due to be completed by the end of next month.
This evening meeting of Harrow Borough Council's Major Development Panel heard from council officers on the latest on a possible upgrade for the station.
A feasibility study into the cost of the upgrade of the station is currently being carried out by the council in partnership with Transport for London and is due to be completed by the end of August.
Earlier this year mayor of London Boris Johnson backed plans for step free access and under the Conservative administration Harrow council allocated £3.1milllion for the project.
The study will give greater detail of what the financial cost will be for the project and where there is any gap in funding.
