More than 1,000 women will take to the streets for a midnight walk to raise money for a hospice charity.

The annual St Luke’s Hospice Midnight Walk will take place from 11pm on Friday, with those taking part walking nine miles around Harrow.

Last year’s event raised more than £200,000 for the hospice, which cares for terminally ill people in Harrow and Brent.

The walk, which is the hospice’s fundraising event of the year, also topped the ranking in a national league table by published by Help the Hospices.
