A woman has died following a house fire in South Harrow.
London Fire Brigade were called to reports of a fire at a semi-detached property in St Margaret's Avenue at around 12.45am yesterday.
A woman, believed to be in her 40s, was brought out of the first floor of the property by firefighters but was later prounounced dead at the scene.
The woman has not yet been identified and police are trying to trace her next of kin.
Parts of both the ground and first floor were damaged during the fire.
Police say the woman's death is being treated as unexplained, and an investigation into the cause of the fire has now been launched.
