Hundreds of people are set to take part in a charity walk to raise money for new hospital equipment.

Supporters of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), in Stanmore, will be taking part in the 12th annual Buttercup walk on Sunday.

The event will be started by Buttercup Walk Hero Alex McCartney, ten, who was treated for bone cancer at the hospital last year and has raised more than £6,000 in sponsorship money so far.

Also appearing at the fundraiser will be Olympic medal-winning gymnast Max Whitlock and former Harry Potter stuntman David Holmes.

Money raised from the event will go to The RNOH Charity Redevelopment Appeal which aims to raise £15 million to pay for additional facilities and equipment for the hospital which is currently undergoing £90million redevelopment.

There is still a chance to sign up for the walk by clicking here and the event is free and open to everyone to turn up and enjoy the festivities on the day.
