People are being invited to a event to learn about how to fix broken items to encourage people to keep possessions rather than throw them away.

Harrow’s first Restart Party, run by the Rubbish Diet Harrow, will take place on Saturday May 10 at the Usurp Gallery, in Vaughan Road, west Harrow from 11am to 2pm.

The restart project aims give people the chance to learn new skills to mend broken electronics, clothes and bikes.

Volunteer repairers, called Restarters, will be on hand at the event to help fix and share their skills on how to repair items that might otherwise end up in the bin.

Those interested in taking part in the free event can sign up by emailing kerseysarah@gmail.com
