A former Great Ormond Street Hospital patient was given a running masterclass by a former Olympian.
Lia Kisner, nine, and her sister Hannah, 12, from Pinner, joined Sky Sports Game Changers presenters Olympian Darren Campbell and world class sprinter Jeanette Kwakye for the lesson last week.
The pair held the training session as part of the Game Changers Saturday morning children’s television show on Sky Sports.
Lia and Hannah were part of a team of fourteen patients and their siblings who took part in the training session for the RBC 5K fun run in Battersea Park to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Their mother Emma said: “We all had a lot of fun at the training day. Lia especially loved meeting Darren and Jeanette and she can’t wait to put what we have learnt into practice on the day.”
Darren Campbell said: “We were so inspired by the patients and families we met at our training session for Sky Sports Game Changers and it was a real privilege to have the chance to help them prepare for the RBC Race for the Kids.”
Lia and Hannah will appear on the Sky Sports programme on Sky 1 and Sky Sports 1 today at 9am.
