Police have renewed an appeal into the disappearance of a father-of-four 13 years ago.

A reward of £20,000 has been offered for information leading to the identification, arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the disappearance of Raymond Edward Scott.

Mr Scott, who was 47 at the time of his disappearance, lived in Hanselin Close, Stanmore, and was last seen leaving his brother's house in Wealdstone, at 3.30pm on Friday, November 16, 2001.

He left in a white Ford Transit van, registration D346 DPR, which had a roof rack on top.

He was reported missing several days later and his van was found on November 30 behind shops in Field End Road, Eastcote.

In January 2002, a man was arrested in connection with the disappearance, but he was later released.

In 2012, the investigation was renewed and on Monday this week the case appeared on BBC Crimewatch with CCTV from South Harrow Tube Station, which was dated Sunday, April 28, 2002.

Police say a man of interest appears in the footage they would like to speak too.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Partridge, Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: "I believe the man featured in the CCTV footage may be significant to this investigation.

“We know he made a telephone call to Raymond's brother from South Harrow Station at 8.43am.”

Mr Scott's brother James Scott said: “I know Raymond is dead, because I know my brother and he would have been in touch.

“While they're hanging onto that information, there are four children and a wife, brothers and sisters that suffer every single day.

"If you know where that body is - because there is a body out there - Tell us where it is. Let's give his children closure.”
