Women are being offered the chance to take up free cycle training sessions aimed to get more people on their bikes.
Harrow Borough Council has launched the new campaign with funding from Transport for London to get more women cycling and raise awareness of road safety.
The free scheme, run by organisation Cycle Experience, takes place Wednesday evenings at Elmgrove Primary School, in Kenmore Avenue, Harrow, teaching the basic cycling and maintenance skills.
One person to benefit from a previous session was the Sky News presenter Kay Burley who took advantage of the council’s cycling proficiency course earlier this year.
Harrow Women’s Bike Club is free for those who live or work in Harrow and open to all women whatever their current cycling.
