More than 100 volunteers did their bit for a Hindu temple in Stanmore during a day of good deeds.
The ‘Seva Day’, meaning good deeds day, was set up by the Shree Swaminarayan Temple, at Dharma Bhakti Manor, in Wood Lane, across Friday and Saturday.
Volunteers, some as young as three, took part in gardening, cleaning and painting to spruce the temple up in time for summer.
Organiser Naran Khetani said: “These devotees have bought freshness back to the grounds of the temple, which will now allow the community to enjoy the 17-acre area over the summer months. We would like to thank them for their time and hard work.”
