A government minister joined annual celebrations for of Bangladesh Independence day.
Members of the Harrow Bangladeshi Community met at Regents College, Rayners Lane for the celebrations organised by Conservative parliamentary candidate for Harrow West Hannah David.
Also in attendance at the ceremony last week was Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Theresa Villiers MP who gave a speech on the importance of community.
The event included live music, traditional Bangladeshi Dance and speeches from members of the community about the importance of the say.
Mrs David said: "It was a real honour to be able to mark Bangladesh Independence Day with the local Bangladeshi community.
“Harrow is such a diverse borough, it is so important for us to celebrate each of its rich cultures and traditions. I look forward to working closely with the local Bangladeshi community in the future.”
