Barnet FC’s planning appeal over its stadium the Hive is due to be discussed by councillors this evening.
The special meeting of Harrow Borough Council planning committee was announced last week.
It comes after the council announced it withdrew its enforcement notice ordering Barnet FC to pull down a stand and remove floodlights at the stadium in Camrose Avenue.
The council has been given legal advice that it would be highly unlikely the authority would be successful in the enforcement action at a public inquiry in June this year.
Officers said last week that by withdrawing the enforcement notice the authority was able to focus its attention on the appeal, which will take place later this year.
At the meeting this evening at 6.30pm, at the Civic Centre, members will discuss the council’s arguments for the appeal.
