An independent investigation has found no evidence of institutional racism at Harrow Borough Council.
The four-week review into allegations of institutional racism in Harrow Council was carried out by former Harrow Borough Commander Dal Babu.
In the findings of the report Mr Babu said: “After careful consideration of the evidence presented to this review I have concluded that there is no evidence of institutional racism in Harrow Council.”
In the report the former Chief Superintendent did offer nine recommendations to the council to build on employee relations and to meet the council’s goal of having a workforce representative of the Harrow community.
Council leader Councillor Susan Hall announced the investigation into an allegation of racism, following calls from the Independent Labour group in November last year, but the group announced earlier this week it would not be taking part in the investigation.
