People can now use free wireless internet in the borough's busy shopping streets and town centres.

The free 30 minutes of Wi-Fi is now available courtesy of Harrow Borough Council following a deal reached with communications provider Arqiva.

Access is available in Harrow town centre and in 18 wireless stations around the borough including in Pinner, Stanmore and Edgware.

After using the 30-minutes' of free Wi-Fi, people can then choose to pay for more time online and later in the year Arqiva will begin installing more equipment in council lamp posts to boost reception.
