A young sea cadet was awarded for his hard work and leadership at an annual ceremony.
Giles Rowing, a member of Marine Society & Sea Cadets Harrow Unit, received the award at the seventh annual Jack Petchey Achievement Awards.
The 13-year-old from Harrow was nominated by his peers and awarded for his hard work producing a unit newsletter.
The teenager also represented his unit at a planning meeting for the extension for one of its boat stations in the Welsh Harp reservoir in Wembley, which was given permission.
He was awarded a medal and £200, which will be spent on new display equipment for his unit.
