Harrow Borough Council’s scheme running library and leisure services with other London authorities has been recognised at a national award ceremony.
The joint initiative between Harrow, Ealing and Brent won the John F McClelland Collaborative Procurement Initiative of the Year Award last week.
The prize was part of the National Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards, which recognised Harrow’s aim of saving money while improving services.
Last year Harrow and Ealing’s library services were taken on by Carillion Integrated Services and Harrow, Ealing and Brent’s leisure faculties were taken on by Sports and Leisure Management (SLM).
