A couple will hold a fundraising party in support of a friend taking part in a gruelling cycling challenge.

Beverley Pegg and her husband will hold the event on Saturday March 29 at Kingsbury Services Club, in Stag Lane, Kingsbury, from 8pm.

The evening will include a raffle and charity auction which includes signed memorabilia from football clubs, the band Madness and other luxury items.

The event will raise money for their friend Ian Robinson, who will be taking part in the Help for Heroes Big Battlefield Bike Ride in June this year.

All money raised will go towards sponsoring Mr Robinson on his mammoth bike ride.

The journey will cover a distance of 355 miles from Brussels to Paris and the battle fields of the western front of the First World War. So far Mr Robinson has raised more than £3,000 in sponsorship.

So far more than 160 tickets have been sold for the event with more still available. This interested in purchasing the ticket can call Mrs Pegg on 07916 348211.
