Chance to put politicians behind bars in aid of St Luke's Hospice
People have the chance to lock up their local politicians at a police station to help raise money for charity.
St Luke’s Hospice will putting prominent members of the council and community behind bars at Pinner Police Station as part of its Jail and Bail event next month.
Those facing time won’t be released until they raise their £1,000 bail fee.
London Assembly Member for Harrow and Brent Navin Shah is set to take part and is asking people to donate to put him in the slammer.
He said: “In 2011 I languished in jail and was bailed out when I raised in excess of £5,000.
“This time there is even greater incentive to donate as I’m participating this time to be locked up. A rare opportunity to put a politician behind the bars.
“I’m delighted to be participating again in this event because St Luke’s Hospice is a local charity providing unique and the best quality expert palliative care service.”
