Library users will benefit from an overhaul of computers in all the borough’s libraries.

The 82 public network computers in Harrow libraries have now been updated with new software and upgraded internet speed.

New printers and scanners have also been installed by Cultural Community Solutions, which runs library services on behalf of Harrow Borough council.

Cabinet member for community and culture Councillor Manji Kara said: “These latest improvements are all part of our vision to make our libraries more user friendly, inviting, and better equipped places to visit. They need to be a "must-go" place for all age groups.

“In a digital age, people visit their local library expecting to have up-to-date and easy to use technology at their fingertips.”

A new online library catalogue has been introduced to Harrow Libraries which allows people to search for books, DVDs and CDs as well as renew and reserve from their computer.
