The Independent Labour group has announced it will spend more than £2million in its annual budget.

Today leader of the group Cllr Thaya Idaikkadar announced the key spending of the party in its budget for Harrow Borough Council for the year ahead.

There will be money spent on helping the most vulnerable, children and adult services and environment.

The group also plan to set up some sort of voucher scheme for council tax payers, which will be equivalent to a one percent cut to council tax, costing nearly £1million.

Speaking to the Harrow Times Cllr Idaikkadar said his groups budget was the best for Harrow under the pressures the council was facing.

There will be a full meeting of Harrow Borough Council on Thursday, February 27, from 7.30pm to discuss the Conservative administration’s budget for the next financial year.
