Schoolchildren vote for Harrow youth parliament
Thousands of teenagers have voted for their representatives for the Harrow Youth Parliament.
Votes will be counted this week for this year’s election, which is organised by Harrow Borough Council and offers schoolchildren from the age of 11 to 18 the chance to represent their peers.
They will elect a member of the Harrow Youth Parliament (HYP) who will be in with a chance of becoming a member of the National Youth Parliament (NYP).
The election, run by the council’s electoral services and the youth development team, has taken place in schools, colleges and youth groups to find the politicians of tomorrow.
