We're used to politicians telling us about the virtues of prudence and austerity, but an MP spoke directly to students in Harrow when he visited their college.
Harrow East MP Bob Blackman spoke to students at Harrow College’s Harrow-on-the-Hill campus as they took part in activities to learn how to budget and be financially independent.
Activities included a money personality quiz and a taste test, which helped them understand how to save money by buying unbranded foods.
Mr Blackman said: “It is great to see Harrow College students learning to take financial responsibility at such a young age.
“Schemes such as this are really important when it comes to helping students learn about enterprise and employability and become financially savvy and independent.”
