Hundreds learnt about the trauma that victims of child exploitation go through at an awareness event held by a Sikh temple.

Shree Swaminarayan Temple, in Wood Lane, Stanmore, held the evening to make parents aware of the behaviour patterns associated with sexual grooming.

Guest speaker Detective Sergeant Bhupendra Sonigra, together with Bhai Mohan Singh from the Sikh awareness society, spoke at the event.

More than 400 people turned up to the seminar, which gave people facts and details about how grooming starts and what victims go through.

All political correctness. If we really wanted to protect young girls, we would tell them straight which group to look out for. The same group which would 'honour kill' their own daughters/sisters if they found out they had a boyfriend. These meeting will be so full of political correctness the people will leave none more confused then when they entered.

Our community must understand that this is a very serious problem which is why the seminar was held at the above Temple.I attended along with many more members of the community, community leaders and all sorts of organisations mainly Hindu (since this was hosted at this famous Hindu temple),Councillors,
Faith leaders and many more.Of course, the Metropolitan Police gave us facts and figures which were truly disturbing but Bhai Mohan Singh from the Sikh Awareness Society shook us to the core with a heart-rendering talk about what it is doing and to whom.It is a horrendous NATION-WIDE problem and has reached London too.

We were told exactly WHO the perpetrators were and from which ethnic group in the main.No poliitical correctness from him.He spoke very powerfully and has warned this is also happening in the community at large .So,wake up everybody and do your bit to fight this evil.It is being promoted in the main ONLINE.Parental vigilance is key to protecting their young ones being snared and trapped by these heinous criminals. We have to make a start somewhere and then spread the net far and wide to trap these disgusting perpetrators.

HI Sonoo, good to hear you went to that meeting, this is a very serious issue. Unfortunately, it was the BNP that first brought this issue into the public domain and that's leaves many questions still unanswered.

However, moving forward, can you explain to the readers which group these young girls should be looking out for?
